GWINNETT COUNTY, GA. – Just in time for the holiday season, Preface made an impactful Legacy Gift of over 150 brand-new books and thousands of dollars of healthcare materials to celebrate Preface's partnership with Meadowcreek Elementary School - the latest gift in Preface's home community of Gwinnett County.
The wide variety of donated books were specially selected alongside educators from Meadowcreek Elementary School for readers of all levels and cultures to enjoy. Complimenting the diversity of the student body, the large Legacy Gift multilingual and highly representative books were specially picked to tailor this towards Gwinnett County’s diverse population of young students.
This particular Legacy Gift was made possible thanks to the generous gifts of Additionally, local multilingual publisher, 1010 Publishing Company, provided special copies of their books to support this hometown gift, while Earth Baby contributed thousands of dollars in organic and child-friendly healthcare items for the community.
Preface worked closely with Meadowcreek Elementary School Principal Adrienne Tedesco and Assistant Principal, and Preface Liaison, Dr. Ashlei Haskell to make the Legacy Gift a reality. The recent donation of books and healthcare items is another building block cementing a long-lasting partnership between Preface and the Meadowcreek Elementary Mustangs.
“We are grateful for our partnership with Preface. They have supported our students through their tutoring program and most recently with a generous donation of books for our students. They took special care to purchase texts that were multicultural and high interest. They donated books for all levels of readers. Through this donation we are able to get more books in the hands of our students which is vital to their growth in reading,” said Meadowcreek Elementary School Principal Adrienne Tedesco.
