Sofi Quevedo

Miami, FL

Born in Panama and raised in Miami, Sofi brings a multicultural perspective to Preface. Passionate about analyzing and solving problems from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, Sofi previously served as a Pre-Collegiate Studies Teaching Assistant and Residental Counselor at Stanford University, and has held marketing and outreach roles at Revlon and Saint-Honoré. Additionally, she currently serves as a tutor specializing in R and data analysis at Princeton University's McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning.

A product of public schooling herself, Sofi understands the disadvantages that many students face in their educational journey. Outside of the classroom, she has volunteered with a variety of organizations that promote education equity and is excited to continue this work as an Expansion Director at Preface. Sofi founded a local Miami chapter of She Codes, encouraging young girls to pursue STEM-related fields, and currently serves as a bilingual volunteer with El Centro, teaching English to Spanish-speaking communities in Trenton, NJ.

An alumna of Coral Gables Senior High School, Sofi is pursuing an A.B. in Public Policy, with a simultaneous certificate in Statistics and Machine Learning, at Princeton University.
